The second edition of TLC Games is set to begin
Registration is now officially open for the second edition of the TLC Games, the Telecommunications Olympics, which are returning in 2026 after the great success of the first edition.
The national competition is promoted by the RESTART Research and Development Program and organized by CNIT – National Interuniversity Consortium for Telecommunications.
The TLC Games are the first national competition entirely dedicated to the world of telecommunications and are one of the tools with which the RESTART Foundation contributes concretely to the dissemination of scientific and technological culture, encouraging the younger generation to orient themselves towards a sector that is strategic for the country’s development.
The competition is open to secondary school students aged 16 and over, organized in teams of between 3 and 6 members from the same school and coordinated by a teacher. Through gamification mechanisms, participants will be able to test their technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and teamwork, tackling key telecommunications issues.
The TLC Games 2026 will be divided into two phases:
- Online phase: from February 5 to 18, 2026, teams will have access to a training period, where they can try their hand at sample challenges and complete their registration for the competition. The CTF (Capture the Flag)challenge will take place online on Sunday, February 22, 2026, and will last 4–6 hours: a real national competition in which teams will have to solve technical challenges to accumulate points and climb the rankings. At the end of the test, a ranking will be drawn up and the four best teams, from different schools and distributed throughout the country, will qualify for the final.
- Final phase in person: the final will be held on Monday, March 23, 2026, in Naples.
At the end of the final event, cash prizes will be awarded to the schools of the three winning teams:
- € 5.000 to the first place winner
- € 3.000 to the second place winner
- € 2.000 to the third place winner
Through initiatives such as the TLC Games, the RESTART Foundation, together with CNIT, confirms its commitment to supporting guidance and training programs for young people, helping to build the skills necessary to face the challenges of technological and digital innovation.
