EEE Italy Section celebrates 150 years of Guglielmo Marconi with a new historical volume.

To mark the 150th anniversary of Guglielmo Marconi’s birth (1874-2024), the IEEE Italy Section History Activity Committee has released a new volume in its “History Notes” series.

Produced in collaboration with the National Marconi.150 Committee, the Guglielmo Marconi Foundation, and Quadrato della Radio, this work aims to preserve and enhance the memory of the Italian inventor. Through multidisciplinary essays, the book retraces the wireless revolution: from his first successes at Villa Grifone in 1895 to the 1909 Nobel Prize.

The volume provides a comprehensive portrait of Marconi as a scientist, visionary entrepreneur, and global ambassador for Italian technology. It represents an essential contribution to understanding how his insights continue to shape the future of modern telecommunications.
