The International Tyrrhenian Workshop on Digital Communications (ITWDC) is the 21st event in its series. Organized by CNIT, the Tyrrhenian workshop is each year devoted to a specific theme in the area of digital communications and its applications.
This year, the chosen topic is “Trustworthy Internet”. We adopt the general definition fostered by the European Union for the word “trustworthy”, as:
secure, reliable and resilient to attacks and operational failures; guaranteeing quality of service; protecting user data; ensuring privacy and providing usable and trusted tools to support the users in their security management.
Revised versions of accepted papers will be published in a book by Springer – the book title will be “Trustworthy Internet”
The venue of this year is the beautiful island of Ponza.
The 21st Tyrrhenian Workshop aims at providing a lively and exciting discussion on the technical challenges and issues involved in the trustworthy rethinking of the Future Internet, and of its multi-faced articulation (as per EU workprogramme and Future Internet Public-Private Partnership ongoing initiative) in:
- the Internet by and for People,
- the Internet of Contents,
- the Internet of Services,
- the Internet of Things,
- the Network Infrastructure foundation.
The workshop accommodates invited sessions organized by experts in each of the above area, as well as open-call sessions where we solicit original and previously unpublished papers addressing research challenges, documenting technical advances, and discussing practical experiences and experimental efforts from both industry and academia.
